How the ⁨4%⁩ works

One small percentage from each side of the order, and every other charge shown before you pay. Here is exactly where your money goes.

You pay the menu price

Dishes cost exactly what the restaurant charges at the counter. We never add a markup to food.

Three sides, ⁨4%⁩ each

The restaurant pays a ⁨4%⁩ commission on its food sales, instead of the 15–30% common with big delivery apps. The courier pays ⁨4%⁩ on delivery pay, never on tips. You pay a ⁨4%⁩ service fee on the food subtotal, shown as its own line in the cart.

Delivery fee

Delivery starts at $1.99, which covers the first 2 miles. Each extra mile, or part of a mile, adds $0.50, and the fee never goes above $6.99. Some cities have their own rates, and the cart always shows the exact fee before you pay. It doesn't go up with demand, weather or time of day.

Small orders

Each restaurant has a minimum order: $10, unless it sets another amount. If your food comes to less, you pay the difference as a small-order fee: $8 of food with a $10 minimum means a $2 fee. The cart shows how much to add to skip it.

Sales tax

Where the law requires it, sales tax is added at the local rate. It is calculated on the food after discounts. Where the law makes us the marketplace facilitator, we collect the tax and pay it to the tax authorities for the restaurant.

Tips go to the courier

Tipping is optional. Choose 15%, 18% or 20% of the food at checkout, or add $2, $3 or $5 after delivery. 100% of every tip goes to the courier.

Promotions

Discounts come from the restaurant or from YCD Eats, one per order, and the cart always picks the best one for you. The service fee is based on the food before discounts.

An example

You order $30.00 of food from a restaurant 1.5 miles away.

Service fee: $1.20 (⁨4%⁩ of $30.00).

Delivery: $1.99, because the trip is within the first 2 miles.

Sales tax: your local rate on the $30.00 of food.

Tip: your choice. An 18% tip is $5.40, and all of it goes to the courier.

Before tax and tip, you pay $33.19. The restaurant keeps $28.80 of the $30.00; at a 15–30% commission it would give up $4.50 to $9.00.
